Pokémon Trading Card Game Tactical Deck Battle: How to Join & Event Rules

Tactical Deck Battle is a Pokémon Trading Card Game event played with eligible Tactical Decks. Players can join by purchasing and bringing an eligible Tactical Deck. The event uses a three-round Swiss format; after completing the matches, players can redeem special rewards according to the point-collection rules.

Who can participate?

Players who purchase and bring designated tactical decks can participate. There are no restrictions on how to purchase it, and it does not have to be purchased at the Pokémon Trading Card Game Gym.

Can I Modify My Deck?

No. Tactical Decks used for this event must not be modified in any way. Modified decks are ineligible and will not receive points.

How Does the Event Work?

The event is played over three rounds in a Swiss format. You may not switch to a different Tactical Deck during the three rounds.

What are the prizes?

According to the event point collection rules, you can redeem special gifts such as special original stickers, special card packs, and special original battle table mats.

Conditions of participation

Before participating in the "Tactical Deck Battle", please prepare one of the following target tactical decks. Please bring a complete and unmodified deck to the store on the day of the event to participate.

Competition format

Activity collection Swiss round robin format three rounds。
During the three rounds of battle, other tactical decks cannot be exchanged for battle.
"Participation points" and "Deck Points" will be awarded after three rounds of battle.

You only need to participate in the "Tactics Deck Limited Battle" once to obtain it. 1 participation point. Players can use collect point card to collect collect point stamps, and then go to the Pokémon Trading Card Game gym store to redeem corresponding special gifts.

Deck Points and Special Original Battle Mats

Use different types of "tactical decks" to participate in the "tactical deck limited battle" and you can get corresponding "Deck Points" for one type of deck. If you collect 4 points, you can exchange them for special gifts.

◆"Deck Points" means that if you use a different "Tactical Deck" to participate in a "Tactical Deck Battle", you can get a corresponding point of "Deck Points", up to 4 points.

Each time you participate using a different tactical deck, you will accumulate 1 corresponding deck point. After collecting 4pt, you can exchange it for a special original battle table mat.

The number of special gifts is limited and while supplies last.
The organizer reserves the right to make final modifications, changes, event explanations and the right to end the event without prior notice.

Event notes

There is no restriction on the purchase method, as long as you bring your own purchased tactical deck to participate.
Tactics decks participating in the event must not undergo any deck modifications.
If the gift at the gym you are going to is out of stock, you can go to other gyms to exchange for gifts with the collection point card.
Please be sure to complete the redemption within the event period. Gifts cannot be redeemed after the event.
Gifts cannot be resold, transferred or exchanged for cash, and are in limited quantity while supplies last.
If the event content, gifts and rules are subject to adjustment, please refer to the official announcement, event page and store on-site instructions.

It is recommended to confirm before attending the store

1. Confirm event venue

Before departure, please confirm the store announcement or official event information, confirm the event date, time, quota and registration method.

2. Bring designated decks

Please bring a complete and unmodified target tactical deck to avoid being unable to participate due to inconsistent deck content.

3. Keep the point collection card

Collecting point card will affect the redemption of bonuses, so please keep them properly; the corresponding point field will be marked after redemption.

4. Pay attention to the number of gifts

The number of special gifts is limited, so it is recommended to complete the event and redeem as early as possible.

FAQ

Q: Do I have to buy a tactical deck at the gym to participate?

A: No need. There is no restriction on the purchase method, as long as you bring the purchased tactical deck to participate.

Q: Can I change my tactical deck and participate?

A: No. The tactical deck used in the event cannot undergo any deck modification, otherwise you will be disqualified from participating and no points will be awarded.

Q: Can I change to another tactical deck during the 3rd round?

A: No. Other tactical decks cannot be exchanged during the 3-round match in the Swiss round-robin format.

Q: What should I do if the store’s gifts are out of stock?

A: If the gift at the gym you go to is out of stock, you can go to other gyms to exchange for gifts with the collection point card. For actual conditions, please refer to the store’s on-site and official announcements.

Q: Can point collection cards be combined?

A: No. Points on multiple point card cannot be combined for redemption. Each point card can only be redeemed for one set of gifts.
